What is a ceramic coating?
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that is applied to a vehicle's paint and other surfaces like glass, wheels, and trim to create a long-lasting protective layer. It creates a hard, glass-like finish when cured that acts like a shield to your vehicle's original finish.
Coatings can last anywhere from one year up to ten years, all depending on how long of a protection you're looking for.
Compared to a wax sealant, a ceramic coating triples the protection and lasts for years, whereas a wax only lasts for months at a time. However, a coating requires a full paint correction before to ensure that the paint is completely free of defects and contaminants.
